2023 Events and Shows
Club member Mark Canvin is having a Christmas road run on Saturday the 2nd of December at Mill Farm in Gayhurst MK16 8LT. The farm will be open from 12 noon, vehicles leaving 4 pm prompt. Entry per vehicle will be £10 and he has asked for all vehicles to be dressed in Christmas lights, decorations etc. Mark will personally be awarding £100 to the best dressed vehicle. Raffle donations will be most welcome. All monies raised will be donated to MK Hospital Cancer Research. For more information please contact Mark on 07831 834239.
The NBVTC road run this year is on Sunday the 10th of December. We will be starting from JR Trolleys, Hartwell Farm, Court Rd. Cranfield MK43 0DX. Meeting at 9am and leaving at 9:30am. All sorts of tractors, cars, lorry’s welcome! Vehicle entry £10 members, £15 non-members. Prize will be awarded to the best dressed vehicle. Raffle prizes will be most appreciated. Brian Jones memorial road run will be on Sunday the17th of December. Meeting at 8:30am and leaving Eversholt Village Hall, Church End, Eversholt, Milton Keynes MK17 9DU at 9am. Return will be around at around 12 noon with a break at the White Horse pub in Husborne Crawley. £5 per tractor. Money raised will be donated to MacMillian cancer support.
The Bedford & District Young Farmers are having their annual Charity Tractor Run on Wednesday the 27th of December. Start and Finish from Hartwell Leisure Swim School at Hartwell Farm, Cranfield, Beds MK43 0DX. 9.30am for 10am start £10 per tractor (Hot roll and drink included). Hot food, cakes, hot and cold drinks. Raffle. All profits and charity money to go to the Farming Community Network (FCN)
The NBVTC will be having a winter ploughing match on Sunday January 28th at one of Robert Beesley’s fields in the Hanslope/Castlethorpe area (more information TBC) Brief meeting at 9am for a 9:30am start. Tractor entry £10 members, £15 non-members. Usual classes. Hot food and drinks will be available for sale. Club member John Sheppard is again hosting a Vintage Working two day event at Poplar Farm Blakesley in Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 8SY on August 31st & September 1st. Ranging from veteran and vintage to classic, working horses and steam engines and tractors. There will also steam ploughing, vintage combining and live music. Bar, catering and camping will be available on site over the weekend.
