The Club celebrates its 10th Anniversary in style!

Happy birthday NBVTC!

01/08/2013
On November the 19th the North Bucks Vintage Tractor Club will turn 10 years young! The image here shows the very first flyer which invited people to the first meeting at the Hanslope Working Man's Club on that very day of 2003. The Club got off to a very good start with a great turn out, and has since gone from strength to strength up to counting right now over 160 memberships!

To mark the occasion the Club organised a get together on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of July which was based on the grounds of Moulsoe Farm, by kind invitation from Chris Singer and his family. Several members turned up on the Saturday evening for a BBQ and then on Sunday a road run took place. Courtesy of the very recent good weather Club member Michael Brandon managed to string together the best route to date, stretching for over 20 miles and including several sections off road. Over 40 tractors travelled in convoy across the countryside between Milton Keynes and Newport Pagnell stopping in villages such as Cranfield and North Crawley.

For this event a collection was made in favour of one of our chosen charities, the Macmillan Cancer Support. The Club traditionally supports every year one of four charities proposed by its members: Macmillan Nurses, Willen Hospice, The Air Ambulance and the MK Hospital Heart Unit. This year, to mark our tenth anniversary, the Club will give a donation to all 4 of them on the occasion of the AGM in October.

On this month's website update you will find our best images from the 10th Anniversary get together in this photo gallery, and also a video of the road run in the Video gallery. We also have a few more pictures in the Tractor Shows section of the Photo Gallery page reporting from the recent events in Banbury and Hollowell, courtesy of Sandi. We hope you'll enjoy!

I'd like to finish with a big THANK YOU to all members who joined this event and supported the Club up to this very important milestone. We look forward to the next decade!
