It's been a good summer for outdoor activities and it seems to get even better still! Last Sunday I was at the ploughing match organised by the Newport Pagnell Young Farmers Club and conditions were gorgeous! The event was well attended by NBVTC members. There are lots of events left on our calendar before the end of the year. In two weeks time there will be a full weekend of ploughing, starting on Saturday the 20th with the traditional Cook's ploughing match organised in support of Marie Curie cancer care, followed on Sunday by a ploughing match at Moulsoe Farm. Unfortunately we had to postpone the much anticipated inter-clubs Ploughing Challenge Cup, but the event will be re-scheduled for 2015. In its place there will be the traditional Colin Stone Memorial on the 5th of October at Wavendon Fields. And there is yet another match still to be organised at the Llama Farm. So keep you ploughing gear in good working order as there will be lots of opportunities to put your skills to the test!

A novelty for this year have been the factory visits organised by Richard Wray. The first one to JCB took place early this year. On the 22nd of October there will be the second one to the New Holland factory in Basildon, and I am very much looking forward to it. I can reveal that discussions are already in progress to schedule more for 2015.

From this update I have added a new page to the website called Newsletters. We have decide to post previous editions of our Club Newsletter, which Sandi has now produced for many years. You may download PDF files in full colour!

Finally, as you can see from the image here, our 2015 Calendar is now available. There are only 100 copies, so don't miss out and order your copy now!
